- I used to use WinFSP with Winsock Trumpet Alpha 18, I think,
- under win3.1. Since then, i have 'upgraded' to WFWG 3.11+TCP/IP
- extensions. Now, I cannot get WinFSP to work. When I tell it to
- connect, it gives me an error, saying that the connection is lost,
- and exits.
-
- Any ideas here? Need more information? Should I ditch
- the TCP/IP extensions and try (somehow) to use Winsock under
- wfwg 3.11 (though I understand this is tedious)?
-
- Thanks for the help.

- This sounds like an obvious solution, and it was in fact the first one I
- jumped to when I was having the same problem, but it turned out to be wrong.
- Personaly, I had the mouse in com1 and the modem (internal) as com4.
- Strange, thought I. Why is this doing this odd thing then? The answer:
- buggy software. All was well when I got the newest version of Trumpet
- Winsock. This is my suggestion. Good luck!

- If you really want to put them back on the server, here's the outline:
-
- Find your mail-spool area on the Unix, should be something like
- /etc/spool/mail
- There, each user has a file by the same name as the username. All
- new mails are stacked in that file in ASCII-format.
- Transfer your local mailbox and append it to that file.
-
- Beware: The headers are usually modified for each specific client, once
- they are retrieved from the above file. Send yourself a mail and
- open the above file to see what the header looks like.
-
- Also, if you use a unix-prompt mailreader such as mm, smash or mail,
- they sometimes create mboxes of their own, stored as files in $home.
- If you have mastakenly created one of those, just do
- cat mbox>>/etc/spool/mail/user or whatever suitable.
-
- It a hassle, but it works if you're in trouble.

- The previous posters have indicated how to leave mail on the
- server. Unforunately, if one does this, then after receiving mail on the
- server, Eudora will continue to fetch the *same messages* every time it
- polls. It will also continue to inform you that there is new mail. It
- would be nice if Eudora would be smart enough not to exhibit this behavior.
- This is kind of a show stopper; one must read mail off the host to stop
- this. If one has to go back to the server every time mail arrives, then
- the program is much less useful.

- I am trying to istall Mosaic. Everything works fine but audio files.
- I am trying to use wplany as an external viewer with my speaker. When I click
- on the "audio" button mosaic translates file, starts wplany and then wplany
- gives me massage : " A device ID has been used is out of range for your system"
- I don't have a soundcard but I think wplany works with speaker.
